Touch Footy at Grant Park

Here in Sydney I have been able to take advantage of the pristine beaches, parks, the ocean, and nature walks for a great amount of physical activity. One of my favourite exercises has been to partake in the weekly Saturday ‘touch footy’ games at Grant Park. Dubbed as the ‘longest running touch footy program’ in Sydney a group of about 15-20 locals meet every Saturday to play National Rugby League rules touch footy at this great park overlooking Coogee. Most of the players are middle-aged men that want to get a great workout and this 1.5 hour program had been a perfect way for me to keep up the competitive spirit. During my four week career playing touch footy I have scored five tries in four weeks and have the majority of the rules down. Here’s a great video to show you what this great sport is and some crazy good tries.
